PROJECTS THAT DEFINE TRIVEL’S SPECIALISATION

Hardware manufactured in Barcelona for a landmark project completed by ALUMAN
in Paris, designed by Chartier Dalix Architectes.

 

TRIVEL presents this new international case study, developed for ALUMAN, in a unique building in Paris designed by Chartier Dalix Architectes. A 31,400 m² complex designed for mixed-use—retail, offices and residential—and with a firm commitment to the environment, as evidenced by certifications such as HQE and BREEAM.

ALUMAN is an industrial company founded in Galicia with more than 50 years of experience. The company has developed an internationally recognized portfolio of projects, delivering innovative and sustainable building envelope solutions for architectural and institutional developments.

Designed to meet the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, the building stands out for its predominantly timber structure, clad in galvanized steel panels and featuring more than 18,000 square metres of glazing.

The project required high-performance architectural hardware for the main entrance doors located at ground level along some of Paris’s busiest streets. Large glazed façades open onto landscaped areas and the surrounding urban environment. Several access doors were fitted with heavy-duty patch fittings from TRIVEL’s ROBUST range.

ROBUST Patch Fittings by TRIVEL

As its name suggests, ROBUST is a range of heavy-duty patch fittings engineered to withstand intensive use in frameless glass entrance doors. These fittings are suitable for glass doors up to 1,100 mm wide and 12 mm thick, supporting door leaves up to 120 kg.

In addition to its standard product range, TRIVEL can develop fully bespoke hardware systems to meet specific requirements in architecture, construction, and industrial applications. This capability is supported by an in-house R&D department and fully integrated manufacturing facilities, enabling custom design, fabrication, and special finishes at its factory in Barcelona.

ROBUST Patch Fitting Features
Manufactured from 4 mm steel plate with internal components in AISI 304 stainless steel
Clamp-type installation without glass cut-outs
Concealed top pivot point
Multi-point security lock with Euro-profile cylinder
Lower patch fitting cam cores available with flat bar (R) or 16/19 mm square spindle (C16/19)
Glass clamping gaskets made from cork-rubber compound
Standard finishes: polished stainless steel and satin stainless steel

Electroplated finishes
RAL colour finishes
Glass thicknesses up to 21.52 mm (other thicknesses available on request)
Custom door widths
Pull handles anchored directly to the patch fitting (to be specified at the time of order)

The project also incorporates other TRIVEL products, including the MEIA Lock and the G75 Door Closer, all supplied in Satin Stainless Steel to ensure complete visual consistency.

These finishes offer the durability and certified quality that characterize the Barcelona-based manufacturer.

This project joins TRIVEL’s growing portfolio of international references, spanning residential buildings, public facilities, office developments, and especially prestigious hotels, where TRIVEL products are widely specified for bathroom enclosures, spa areas, and principal entrances.
